Usa Bunnag, D.D.S.
Dr. Usa Bunnag is a graduate of class of 1994, Howard University School of Dentistry. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Bunnag worked as a certified dental assistant for 13 years. Dr. Bunnag is an active member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association, Southern Maryland Dental Society, International Association of Orthodontics and Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists. As a dentist, Dr. Bunnag is dedicated and believes in life-long learning to increase her knowledge in dentistry and enabling her to provide the best cares for her patients.
Aside from being a dentist, Dr. Bunnag is also a Founder and President of a non-profit organization: Smiles on Wings. She travels to Thailand twice or three times a year with her colleagues to provide medical and dental care to the children and villagers in rural Thailand. She has been involved extensively in the Tsunami Relief Effort in Thailand since January 2005 (www.smilesonwings.org). Her effort has been recognized by the Governor of Maryland and the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand. It has also been featured in the news and numerous publications. She is one of Montgomery College 2005 Outstanding Alumni Recipients. Dr. Bunnag is also dedicated in making dental care more accessible for children under Medicaid program in Maryland. She is currently providing urgent dental care for Katrina evacuees in Montgomery County area at no cost.
Dr. Bunnag combines her love of dentistry and her passion of helping others in her practice. She is dedicated to her profession.
